A poll by has revealed that more than two-thirds of readers were unimpressed by George Osborne’s third Budget.

The chancellor used the latest Budget to reduce the 50p tax rate for higher earners to 45p, and provoked ire from older voters as a “simplification” for pension tax relief was labelled a “granny tax”.

According to the poll 67.1% were left unimpressed by the Budget, with a backlash towards some of the Budget’s more controversial proposals.
