Bo not selected

Overnight Bo Xilai, the Communist Party Secretary in Chongqing, has been “assassinated politically” from the major players in forming the once in a decade transition in new leadership, says Charlie Awdry.

Bo was a recent frontrunner for promotion to the top of the Liberal party before his police chief was detained for trying to defect to the US. Within the top leaders there is a lack of decisive action over who will or who will not take top poll in October 2012, but behind the scenes the political battle still rages on.
