Threadneedle adds manager to UK small cap team

Threadneedle Investments has appointed Matthew Evans as fund manager of the £122m Threadneedle UK Small Cap fund, alongside James Thorne.

Evans will take up the position in early October 2013, where he will work with the current manager of the  fund, Thorne, and report to head of UK equities Simon Brazier.

With 12 years experience in UK smaller companies investing, Evans has also previously worked as senior UK small cap fund manager at Legal & General Investment Management.

Brazier says: “Matthew’s appointment further strengthens our UK small and mid-cap expertise and I am confident that with his experience and expertise in this asset class, the team will continue to deliver out-performance for our clients.”
