Investment firm SEI is considering launching a multi-asset income fund for the UK market.

SEI head of UK and Europe Kevin Addison says the firm is seeking out fund seeding for the launch of a Dublin-based mirror of one of SEI’s existing US funds, the SEI Multi-Asset Income fund.

Launched in April 2012, the SEI US Multi-Asset Income fund now has an assets under management of $195m and posted a one-year return of 15.27 per cent as of 12 June 2013, according to Bloomberg.

Addison says: “We are looking to bring in income proposition. There is huge demand for income type producing assets in the UK.”

Though there are no set dates for when this fund would become registered or available, Addison says his intention for the launch to happen is “sooner rather than later”.
