Martin Currie boosts Asian equities team

Martin Currie has appointed Damian Taylor to the role of investment manager as part of its Asian equities team.

In his new role, Taylor will report to Martin Currie investment director and head of Asia Andrew Graham. He will take up the position at the beginning of July and will work as part of the asset manager’s Edinburgh-based team.

Taylor has 13 years investment experience, beginning his investment career at Goldman Sachs before moving to Morgan Stanley. Prior to joining Martin Currie he was the chief financial officer for a specialist IT business and has also worked as investment director at the private equity business Boundary Capital.

Martin Currie sales, marketing and client services executive director Andy Sowerby says: “We have made a number of hires over the past three years to strengthen our investment floor and Damian’s appointment is a further senior research hire to underpin resource in our Asia team”
