Hermes Real Estate hires head of real estate debt

Hermes Real Estate Investment Management has appointed Chalkhill Partners’ Marcus Palmer as its head of real estate debt.

Based in London, Palmer will be responsible for managing the firm’s real estate debt programme and will report to director of international investment Ben Sanderson.

Palmer joins from Chalkhill, where he was a partner oversaw the build out and development of its real estate platform, focusing on UK and Northern European real estate borrower clients.

Hermes Real Estate Investment Management chief executive Chris Taylor says: “Marcus’ extensive industry expertise, global experience and deep understanding of the UK and international real estate markets will provide direct support to the delivery of our real estate debt programme.”
