Baring Asset Management’s Ian Pascal is to join Hermes Fund Managers in September as head of marketing.
Pascal, who replaces Rob Page, will report to Hermes global head of business development Harriet Steel. He will be responsible for Hermes’ global institutional and wholesale marketing strategy and will head all corporate communications.
Prior to his new position, Pascal was at Baring Asset Management for 11 years where he was responsible for the firm’s global marketing strategy and managed a team of 35 people across eight offices worldwide.
He has also held senior marketing positions at Old Mutual Asset Management and Hill Samuel Asset Management.
Steel says: “I am delighted that a candidate of Ian’s calibre is joining us to fill this important role at Hermes. His appointment underscores our brand at a very exciting point in our evolution.
“Ian’s deep cross market experience will be instrumental in differentiating us from our competitors and communicating our strategy to Hermes’ rapidly expanding client base.”
Page left Hermes in April to become global head of marketing at Henderson Global Investors.
