New capital markets platform Capitama aims to connect seed enterprise investment scheme and enterprise investment scheme providers with investors.
The platform, which was launched by ex-Goldman Sachs analyst and former Bank of America Merrill Lynch financial adviser Brett de Bank, TicketingHub co-founder Carl Edouard Pihl and web developer Oliver Morgan, is currently in beta stage and going live in September.
De Bank says there is a strong appetite for SEIS and EIS and the number of providers is expected to increase this year.
Capitama’s de Bank says: “Our goal is to help individuals and companies raise capital more efficiently by connecting them with the right investor. We achieve this by using modern cloud-based web technology.”
He explains the aim of the platform is to target new sources of deal flow in different sectors, geographies and asset classes.
There will be a degree of “due diligence” performed on SEIS and EIS investment projects, which will be scored according to the level of completeness of information submitted to the platform in the platforms data bank.
He explains there will also be a reverse market enquiry section which will highlight any listed company’s investment preferences and invite the market to send deal flow to the provider directly.
The platform aims to allow professional advisors to search for specific service providers across the full spectrum of financial services and network and engage investment projects, search out new mandates and build your network.
New businesses can use the Capitama platform for a fee of £49 per month accessing its virtual data room, directory listing project workspace and analytics.
