Brewin Dolphin appoints chief admin officer

Brewin Dolphin has hired former Williams De Broë chief operating officer David Howard as its chief administration officer.

In this newly-formed role, Howard will also be a member of the group’s executive committee and report to head of investment management Stephen Ford.

Previously, Howard was COO at Williams de Broë from 2008 until 2012. Prior roles also include Insinger de Beaufort UK COO and finance director for a subsidiary group of Guinness Mahon.

Brewin Dolphin chief executive David Nicol says: “We are pleased that some of David’s calibre is joining Brewin Dolphin, he brings with him the benefit of his very considerable industry experience and large project management skills, which will be invaluable to us as we develop this business.”
