Raymond James Investment Services chief executive Peter Moores has been appointed UK country manager.

The appointment has been made to unify the firm’s UK businesses with Moores now heading up all institutional and retail business in the country.

Joining Raymond James in 2004, Moores previously worked at DAB Bank and Chase Manhattan Bank – starting his career at the latter.

Raymond James chief executive Paul Reilly says: “With strong growth in the UK in a variety of our businesses, it was clear that the next step was to better co-ordinate efforts to expose clients to the broad spectrum of services available.

“Having run our UK wealth management business since 2005 and shepherded the group from joint venture to subsidiary broker/dealer, Peter is the clear choice for this role.”
