William Rice has left Neptune Investment Management with company founder Robin Geffen taking over the manager’s Russia fund.

Rice was the manager of the £1.7m Neptune Russia Special Situations fund, which launched at the end of 2012. He was also assistant manager on the £335.6m Neptune Russia & Greater Russia fund.

The portfolio is now being overseen by Geffen, who also runs Neptune Russia & Greater Russia as well as a number of other portfolios.

Neptune Russia Special Situations was launched to focus on small and mid-cap stocks, complementing Neptune Russia & Greater Russia with its bias towards larger companies.

Rice joined Neptune in October 2010 as an investment analyst and oil and gas sector researcher.
