JP Morgan investment trust head Barron to depart

JP Morgan Asset Management head of investments trusts David Barron is to leave the firm after 18 years.

Barron joined JPM in 1995 and took on the role of head of investment trusts in 2003. Prior to this, Barron was director of the product development group.

JPMAM currently has 21 investment trusts with £6.6bn of assets under management.

JPMAM head of UK funds Jasper Berens says: “I’d like to thank David for his contribution to building our investment trust business to the leading position it holds today and wish him well for the future. David’s successor will be announced in due course.”
