Old Mutual looks to export DFM and fund research services

Old Mutual has officially rebranded the overseas Skandia businesses and plans to take an OMGI researched fund range global. 

The firm rebranded the Skandia UK platform to Old Mutual Wealth in September and the renaming of Skandia International and Royal Skandia to Old Mutual International completes the group’s consolidation.

The firm says it plans to extend its Old Mutual Global Investors research recommended lists to the international business as well as export wealth manager Quilter Cheviot’s services, following its acquisition early next year.

Old Mutual Wealth chief executive Paul Feeney says the name change is an important milestone.

“We are committed to building a strong cross-border investment business under the Old Mutual brand that will offer financial advisers and their clients new investment solutions, utilising the skills and resources we have invested in over recent years,” he explains.

“Wealth Interactive gives us a solid platform for growth and we will be investing in the Old Mutual brand in all our markets to support advisers recommending our products to their clients.” 

Wealth Interactive is a newly built platform for overseas advisers.
