Threadneedle’s William Davies has been appointed as head of global equities at the asset manager.
Davies, who has been Threadneedle’s head of European equities since 1999, will oversee a team of 10 fund managers in his new role and will concentrate on expanding the company’s global equities franchise.
Leigh Harrison, head of equities at Threadneedle, says: “This appointment is recognition both of William’s skill and of the importance we place on growing our global equities capability going forward.”
Philip Dicken has been promoted to replace Davies as head of European equities. Within the team, Paul Doyle will become head of continental and Dan Ison will remain head of pan-European.
Nick Davis will become the manager of Davies’ £582.6m Threadneedle European fund.
