Johnson has served as interim manager of the fund since April, taking over from Stephen Snowdon who left to rejoin Kames Capital.

According to Omam, the fund will remain at least 80% invested in investment-grade bonds and 100% hedged into sterling.

Stewart Cowley, the head of fixed income at Omam, says: “Christine is a highly talented credit manager and her appointment gives clarity to our clients.”

Johnson will continue to run the £33.6m Dynamic Bond fund alongside the Corporate Bond fund.
