Investec Asset Management is to launch the Investec GSF Emerging Markets Multi-Asset fund for clients seeking a “one stop shop” for investment in emerging markets.
The fund will be managed by Philip Saunders, the head of global multi asset investments, and John Stopford, the co-head of fixed income.
The fund will invest in emerging market debt and equities, which the asset manager believes will “capture the best opportunities at any given time in the rapidly evolving emerging markets”.
It will also be able to invest in frontier markets and commodities when appropriate,
David Aird, the head of UK client group at Investec, says: “We have seen increasing demand from our UK and international clients for this multi-asset solution to investing in emerging markets.
“This fund aims to offer an approach whereby proven components are combined by experienced asset allocators. We have a proven record of success in the underlying building blocks that this fund will use, as well as in multi-asset investing.”
The fund will launch following regulatory approval. No details on charges were available at the time of writing.
