Industry split over scaremongering in media

Accusations of “scaremongering” over hidden fund charges in the consumer media have divided opinion among Fundweb readers.

A little over half of respondents to the latest Fundweb poll – 54.1% – believed the consumer media was “scaremongering”.

The issue was raised recently by Richard Saunders, chief executive of the Investment Management Association, who hit out at recent stories in national newspapers.
