Schroders has taken steps to merge its Schroder Global Climate Change fund with the Schroder QEP Global Core fund.
Schroders UK intermediary managing director Robin Stoakley says the Schroder QEP Global Core has “delivered consistent outperformance since launch at a low cost” and will continue to give investors exposure to a portfolio of global companies, he adds.
Despite the decision to merge away the Schroder Global Climate Change fund Stoakley argues that climate change continues to be an “important structural theme” at the firm.
He says: “Climate change remains an important structural theme for the global and international equities team at Schroders and the decision to merge the Schroder Global Climate Change Fund does not diminish this.”
Investors will also still able to access the same strategy going forward using the Schroder ISF Global Climate Change Equity fund.
