Schroders’ Manek moves to Santander’s bond team

Santander Asset Management has recruited Schroders UK fixed income manager Divya Manek

Manek joins Santander’s global European fixed income team, focusing on continental bonds, and working under team head Adam Cordery.

She will work mostly on the €34.3m (£27.45m) Santander Euro Corporate Short Term, Euro Corporate, and Renta Fija Privada funds.

Over seven years at Schroders, Manek worked on the firm’s flagship euro and sterling funds as well as running some segregated mandates.

Santander’s Cordery says Manek is a solid addition to the fixed income team.

Last month, Santander hired Robert Noach – also from Schroders – as non-executive director.
