Hermes Fund Managers has appointed Zoë Shaw, formerly of Promethion, head of fixed income.
It is a new role at Hermes, and Shaw will look to expand the firm’s capacities in fixed income with specialist funds.
Shaw has 30 years’ experience in investment banking and asset management, her previous role was managing director of Promethion, a specialist fixed income advisory firm.
Before her five years with Promethion she founded New Bond Street Asset Management LLP which built up €8bn (£6.4m) in fixed income funds.
Hermes chief executive Saker Nusseibeh says attracting top people is key and he is pleased to welcome Shaw.
“Zoë brings with her a wealth of knowledge and industry experience and will play an integral role in creating a range of specialist credit capabilities which will give clients the opportunity to invest in hard to access areas of the fixed income spectrum,” he adds.
