Royal London Asset Management chief investment officer John Mercer is set to leave the firm following the acquisition of Co-operative Asset Management in 2013.
Mercer first joined RLAM as part of the investment team from Co-operative AM where he had held the role of chief investment officer since 2010.
However RLAM has confirmed that Mercer has now departed the firm as part of the incorporation of the Co-operative business. Robert Talbut will continue on in his current role as chief investment officer at RLAM.
Mercer’s departures follows not long after a trio of former Co-op fund managers, including head of external funds Linda Desforges, also exited RLAM back in February of this year.
