First State’s Finegan exits

First State Investments senior portfolio manager Glen Finegan has exited the firm.

Fingegan’s exit follows a year long sabbatical leave from the global emerging markets team at First State Stewart.

A First State Investments spokesman says there will be no changes to the team’s portfolio management responsibilities.

Fundweb understands no replacement for Finegan is being sought.

Prior to his sabbatical leave Finegan was taken off the £3.3bn First State Global Emerging Markets Leaders fund he managed with Tom Prew in September 2013.

In this management restructure Finegan then joined Jonathan Asante to co-manage the £27m First State Worldwide Equity fund together.
