Brewin hit by senior departures as it hires COO

Brewin Dolphin head of IT Gareth Williams and director of marketing Philip Browne have both left the firm as the business has shuffled its management team.

The pair depart having spent 12 and eight years respectively at Brewin. 

Co-heads of the London office Rob Burgemann and Peter Long have both stepped down from their roles but stay with Brewin to focus on their client books.

Brewin national director Rupert Tyler has taken up the role as head of London.

He will be supported in this role by Burgemann, Long and others.

Elsewhere Thomas Lack has been hired as chief operating officer after joining from Coutts where he was head of wealth operations.

In recent months Brewin Dolphin has seen a number of employees leave and closed two offices
