Neptune UK Higher Income fund manager Emma Mogford has departed the asset management house.

The £2.2m Neptune UK Higher Income fund, which resides in the IMA UK Equity & Bond Income, will now be managed by George Boyd-Bowman.

Boyd-Bowman, who also runs the £1.5m Neptune Global Income fund with Robin Geffen, will be supported on his new portfolio by Neptune Cautious Managed manager Ian Sealey.

A statement by the firm says: “Neptune wishes Emma well in her future career.”

Neptune UK Higher Income launched in September 2010 and returned 14.29 per cent over the year to 7 August 2013, according to FE Analytics. The fund is ranked third quartile over three and six months and fourth quartile over one year.

Mogford’s departure is the latest to hit Neptune. In April, Neptune UK Special Situations manager Alex Breese was hired by Schroders to manage its Schroder UK Equity and Schroder ISF UK Equity funds, while Neptune Russia Special Situations manager William Rice left in June.
