Franklin Templeton hires Hayes as multi-asset manager

Franklin Templeton has hired Toby Hayes as vice president and portfolio manager for its mult-asset strategies team.

Joining on 2 September 2013, Hayes will report to managing director of funds research and management for multi-asset strategies Brent Smith.

Hayes’ prior roles include multi-asset portfolio manager for Pacific Real Estate Capital Partners, founding partner for multi-asset boutique Armstrong and multi-asset portfolio manager at Insight Investment.

Franklin Templeton UK country head Ian Wilkins says: “This appointment is another key milestone in our objective to build our UK business across advisory, discretionary, and institutional channels.

“Toby is a proven multi-asset portfolio manager who will allow us to introduce our multi asset capabilities to UK retail and institutional investors who seek investment options with a targeted outcome within a risk-controlled framework.”
