Mark Tinker will hand over control of the Axa Framlington Global Opportunities fund after being promoted to support the firm’s Asian expansion.
Tinker has been appointed head of Axa Framlington Asia and will relocate to Hong Kong in September to help the firm grow its business in the region.
He will work closely with Axa Framlington’s distribution teams in Asia and will support the development of the company’s Asian equity capability.
Axa Framlington global head Mark Beveridge said: “We are committed to building our presence in Asia and Mark Tinker’s move will be a key step in our growth in the region.
“Mark has been a hugely valued member of our London team for the past seven years and possesses the requisite fund management experience, passion and communication skills to support our ambitions in Asia.”
Management of the £278.1m Axa Framlington Global Opportunities fund and its offshore mirror will be passed over to Mark Hargraves and his global sector team.
In addition, responsibility for Hargraves’ Axa WF Framlington Global High Income fund will be given to William Howard.
