Legal and General Investment Management has hired Jupiter’s former global head of distribution Simon Hynes as its new head of UK retail sales.
Hynes left Jupiter last year after three months in the global head of distribution role and 12 years with the firm. At the time Jupiter said he was taking a sabbatical.
Hynes will report to Honor Solomon, head of retail distribution for EMEA, and joins after a restructuring of the retail distribution team earlier this year.
“Simon is highly experienced in UK sales and relationship management across IFA’s, platforms and discretionary clients and we know he is highly thought of by many of our partners,” says Solomon.
“The UK retail market is changing fast in response to regulation and pensions reforms, and by working more closely with advisers and distributors, I firmly believe we can be at the forefront of delivery of the investment solutions UK investors require today,” says Hynes.
Jupiter appointed Nick Ring as global head of distribution in July, joining from Columbia Threadneedle Investments.
LGIM made a number of changes to its leadership team at the start of the year, including hiring Sarah Aitken as head of distribution for EMEA, for both institutional and retail. Aaron Meder also became head of investment in the reshuffle.
