Vanguard’s Thomas Rampulla has stepped down from the board of the Investment Association, after taking up a new job in the US.
Rampulla was appointed head of the Financial Advisor Services division of Vanguard earlier this year, and will relocate to the US to take up the position. He was previously head of the UK and European operations at Vanguard.
John James will replace Rampulla in the UK and Europe, coming from Vanguard’s Australia business.
Any new board member for the IA will be elected at the September annual general meeting, said an IA spokesperson. Members are invited to nominate candidates that are then reviewed by the nomination committee. Now 17 people remain on the board, headed by Daniel Godfrey.
