Tilney for Intermediaries, the discretionary management unit of the merged Tilney Bestinvest, has hired John Alexander as business development director as the business continues to expand.
In this new role, Alexander, who will be based in the group’s Liverpool office, will be responsible for building relationships with key intermediary clients, both existing and new, primarily in the north-west.
Alexander, who joins the company from Momentum Global Investment Management as business development manager, will report to head of Tilney for Intermediaries boss Miles Robinson.

In May Mark Coles joined the company as director for Financial Intermediaries.
Also in May, Tilney for Intermediaries’ model portfolios was added to the Standard Life Wrap discretionary fund management service platform.
