JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed Thushka Maharaj as global strategist and executive director in the global strategy team within the company’s investment management solutions global multi-asset group.
Maharaj, who will report to the head of global multi-asset strategy John Bilton, will work on the global economic and asset allocation strategies for both institutional and retail clients in the newly-created role.
Before joining JP Morgan, Maharaj was at Credit Suisse were she was director for the European interest rate strategy team.
Bilton says Maharaj ”brings extensive technical expertise and strong macro-economic credentials to the team. She will work closely with our quantitative research team and portfolio managers, across asset classes, to deepen our client relationships and continue to build our asset allocation capabilities globally.”
Bilton was hired by JP Morgan AM a year ago, joining from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he was as head of its global strategy team.
