Amundi has appointed Société Générale veteran Vincent Mortier as deputy CIO at the company.
In his role, Mortier will also become a member of the executive committee at Amundi.
He replaces Alain Pitous who was working for the company in the Paris office from 2009 to July 2014 and who joined independent investment firm Talence Gestion, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Mortier’s most recent role at the French giant bank, which he joined in 1996, was chief financial officer of the global banking and investor solutions division, which he started in 2013.
At Société Générale, Mortier was also CFO of the bank’s corporate and investment banking, co-head of equity finance, deputy head of equity finance and head of strategy and development for the global equities and derivatives solutions.
As of March 2015, Amundi has more than £688bn in assets under management worldwide.
