Threadneedle has appointed Irina Miklavchich to manage a number of global emerging markets equity funds.
Miklavchich will join the seven-strong Asia ex Japan and global emerging markets equities team headed by Vanessa Donegan.
She joins Threadneedle from Goldman Sachs, where she was an executive director in the principal strategies group from 2006 onwards and was responsible for managing an Emea long-short equity portfolio. (article continues below)
Prior to that, Miklavchich worked at Goldman Sachs Asset Management as an executive director in the emerging markets and global financial teams.
Her appointment follows Donegan’s promotion to head of Asia and emerging market equities. Julian Thompson, the former head of global emerging market equities, left last year.
