Bank of New York Mellon Asset Management has removed Neiloy Ghosh as manager of the Newton Japan fund after a period of underperformance.
The fund fell 25.5% over the past year, compared with the Japan sector average fall of 16.7%, according to Financial Express. The group says it is in talks with Ghosh about his future.
Ghosh has run Newton Japan since January 2006. Ewan Markson-Brown has taken over the management of the fund.
