Fidelity appoints managers

Fidelity has appointed managers on its American Growth and American Special Situations funds.

The manager of the funds, Bob Haber, will retire as the chief investment officer of Fidelity Investment Canada on March 13. He will concentrate on his directorships with charitable and educational organisations.

Aris Vartis will take over the Fidelity Funds (FF) American Growth fund and Adrian Brass will run the Fidelity International Funds (FIF) American Special Situations fund. Both will manage the vehicles as concentrated versions of their existing portfolios, FIF American and FF America.

The duo will be based in London and will report to the head of the global equity team, Ilario di Bon.
