Thomas Becket, the manager of the upcoming PSigma Balanced Managed Fund of Funds, says America offers better value for investors than Europe.
As Fund Strategy reported (August 11, 2008), Becket’s fund will be launched on September 22 and will follow a multi-asset strategy, aiming to reduce volatility through diversification.
At launch the portfolio will be about 40% in equities with a 23% allocation to global equities. Britain will account for 17% of the equity weighting.
“We’ve taken the view that the US market is in a better position than Europe,” says Becket. “Because of this we’re going to be long US and short Europe in the fund.”
