Ken Edwards, Chris Fletcher and Jim McGhie have announced their forthcoming retirements from Baillie Gifford and a subsequent succession plan.
Edwards, the head of intermediary sales, is to retire in February next year and be succeeded by Grant Walker. Walker, who has worked in the intermediary area of Baillie Gifford for 10 years, will report to James Budden, the firm’s marketing director.
Walker will also take on responsibility for the firms retail and sales marketing, including investment trusts. (article continues below)
Fletcher and McGhie, the respective heads of retail investments and retail administration will both retire in April 2011. They will be succeeded by John Wilson and Kirsten Fraser, both have both deputised in these areas for over 10 years.
