Managing Partners could be takeover target, says Leach

Managing Partners, the traded life policy provider, has said it is a potential takeover target as the market becomes more popular with investors.

Jeremy Leach, managing director, says larger institutions are looking to buy up traded life specialists such as Managing Partners as a route into the growing market.

However, Merlin Stone, the professor who authored the Managing Partners report, warns larger institutions could end up marketing the specialist asset class incorrectly.

He and Leach say greater regulation is needed to help safeguard the asset class for investors. (article continues below)
