Hargreaves Lansdown has added the Liontrust European Absolute Return fund to its Wealth 150 list of recommended funds.
The fund, managed by Gary West and James Inglis-Jones, was launched in July.
Meera Patel, a senior analyst at Hargreaves Lansdown, says the fund is only one of a handful of absolute return vehicles which have “tried and tested managers at the helm”.
“The managers have a proven ability in shorting stocks, which feel is absolutely essential in this type of product,” she says.
The fund uses the same documented investment process—the Cashflow Solution—as the Guernsey domiciled Liontrust European Long/Short fund, which launched in December 2006.
