Standard Life Investments (SLI) will launch two products this month.

Standard Life Investments will launch two products this month.

The UK Recovery fund, to be launched on March 6, will be run by David Cumming, the head of UK equities at Standard Life, who has managed only institutional mandates until now.

It aims to capitalise on timing opportunities in the investment cycle, with the manager trying to position the portfolio so that it will benefit when markets turn, according to Standard Life.

The European Equity Income fund, which will be launched on March 10, has been created for Will James. It will be the first fund he has managed for SLI since joining in 2007.

The most recent addition to the European equity stable was the European Equity Unconstrained Sicav created for Iain Galloway in May last year.
