Mark Harris and Craig Heron, Henderson New Star multi-managers, have invested over £20m in the newly-launched GLG UK Select fund.
UK Select will be a core holding in three of Harris and Heron’s portfolios: New Star Active, New Star Balanced and New Star Managed.
The £101m fund was launched by GLG in August. It is managed by John White and Jason MacKay.
The 33-stock concentrated portfolio is biased towards large-caps. It is a British domiciled version of White and MacKay’s Dublin domiciled UK Select Equity fund, and reflects the long portfolio of their hedge fund.
