A hedge fund with a difference

An advert in a one of the nationals caught my eye this morning. It read: “Once upon a time a hedge fund was just that”. In what has been a quiet summer for news I read on.


However, rather than be told about a new global macro, event-driven or convertible arbitrage offering, the advert was instead selling… beer. Buy a special pack of Stella Artois and it pledges to grow a hedge in the British countryside. In short a fund to create hedges, using beer as your minimum investment. As journalists it is not our job to recommend funds, bit in this instance I am pledging my support.
