Gledhill confirms move to Henderson

James Gledhill, the head of fixed income at New Star, is to move over to Henderson Global Investors as part of New Star’s merger with the group.

According to a source close to the deal, Gledhill will join the current Henderson fixed income team, which includes John Pattullo and Jenna Barnard.

He follows fellow New Star managers Guy de Blonay, Mark Harris and Craig Heron as well as Mark Skinner, New Star’s managing director, in the move.

Tim Steer, who ran the New Star UK Alpha Fund, has confirmed he will not be joining his former colleagues and will join Artemis to run the £276m Artemis UK Growth fund later this year.

The outcome of Henderson’s negotiations with Richard Pease, however, is yet to be announced.
