Williams de Bröe will lose its head of research in coming months, with the departure of Dan Kemp.
It is understood he will join a West-End based family office, which specialises in managing private families’ wealth.
Darius McDermott, managing director of Chelsea Financial Services, confirmed the reports.
“He is definitely leaving because I have been invited to his joint leaving drinks,” says McDermott. “I have not heard where he is going to, but he is highly regarded and wherever it is, I’m sure he will be a very good addition,” he adds.
In his role as head of research, which he has occupied for two years, Kemp is responsible for managing the group’s global fund of funds, managing the Christows Overseas Growth and Worldwide Growth portfolios.
Kemp declined to comment.
