Good to see you back on TV. The Fleet deal is proceeding but at less favourable terms than they wanted. With all this turmoil, I figured they needed us more than we needed them. Be careful of Dick, though.

I’m glad it’s going so well for you there. As it happens, I bumped into someone I know at your firm who made some complimentary noises about you. I think you have a great future in London.

Once upon a time not a day would go by without an email from you. I know our relationship has changed and that I no longer do any work for Stella but, pathetic as it sounds, I miss hearing from you. Can I buy you lunch?

Hugh tells me he’s explained where the hold-ups were. Did he also say that we have regulatory approval? Once this deal goes live I need to hit the ground running.

My diary says to keep free the end of October and early November for a series of IFA roadshows but I have heard nothing. Have we no money to spend or has the RDR put us off distribution through this channel?

What a nice email to receive. You quite made my day. Liz is working all hours at the moment so I might even be able to stretch to a dinner date. It will be quite like old times.
