Bolton calls bottom of the market – again

Running an active fund is difficult as it is, but when you are the successor to Anthony Bolton, the task is even harder.

The problem for Sanjeev Shah, manager of the Fidelity Special Situations fund, is that Bolton just won’t seem to leave the spotlight.

Speaking to the FT after the NAPF investment conference today, the retired fund manager once again decided to call the bottom of the stockmarket, having made a previous call in October.

He concedes timing the market is difficult, yet it doesn’t stop him continually trying.
