VAM Funds has launched a Global Government Bond fund that targets a yield of 4%.
Peers SA, a Switzerland-based global asset manager, has been appointed to manage the fund, which will invest in government guaranteed bonds that have an investment grade rating of AAA and AA.
Structured as a Ucits III compliant Luxembourg Sicav, the fund carries dollar, euro and sterling share classes. In the sterling share class the minimum investment is £5,000, while the annual management charge is 1.2%. (article continues below)
Annelise Peers, a co-owner of Peers SA, has been appointed as the fund’s adviser.
At launch the biggest country weighting in the portfolio was Germany, accounting for 40.48% of the portfolio. Britain represents 13.4% of the funds.
