This looks like being a busy week. The nervous start to the week, with stocks plummeting in Asia and Europe, suggests the market turmoil is likely to continue. On the economic front the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is publishing key reports to coincide with its annual joint meeting with the World Bank. On Tuesday comes the Global Financial Stability Report, which should be particularly poignant this year. On Wednesday the second part of the IMF’s World Economic Outlook will be published including its macroeconomic forecasts for the coming period.
Meanwhile, Fund Strategy will be hosting its Investment Summit in Dubai. Topics to be discussed include the future of energy, the Middle East, prospects for long-only funds and the market meltdown. There will be blog posts from the summit and fuller coverage in the news section of next week’s magazine.
