Invesco Perpetual has promoted a manager of its emerging Europe funds to co-manage its Latin American fund, alongside Dean Newman.
Nicholas Mason, who joined the asset manager in 2006 as a senior analyst and trainee fund manager in the emerging markets equities team, currently manages the Emerging European, Emerging Europe Equity and Eastern Europe and Russian Equity funds.
The Emerging European fund has generated a total net return of +8.21% versus -16.3%* for its benchmark, the MSCI Emerging Markets Eastern Europe Index. This equates to outperformance of 24.51%.
Newman says Mason, an MIT and University of Edinburgh graduate, is an “experienced stock picker with a strong valuation discipline, who takes a fundamental and long-term investment view”.
