HSBC Global Asset Management is the asset management division of HSBC Holdings plc (HSBC Group). With businesses in Europe, the Asia-Pacific regional, North America, Latin America and the Middle East, it has a team of over 500 investment professionals and over 2,000 employees based in nearly 25 locations around the world.
HSBC Global Asset Management offers a range of fixed income, equity, multi-asset and liquidity solutions and is one of the world’s largest managers of emerging markets strategies.
Asset management formally became part of HSBC’s overall business strategy in 1973. At the end of December 2014, it managed assets totalling $454bn.
Its Global Executive Committee, which is based in London, sets the strategic direction for HSBC Global Asset Management. Global Chief Executive Officer Sridhar Chandrasekharan took over from John Flint in January 2012.
