Hargreaves Lansdown is opening a technology hub in Warsaw, Poland to expand its software capabilities.
HL says the decision will increases its ability to grow and improve client services and ultimately the Hargreaves Lansdown business as a whole but sees the move as an extension of existing services.
HL incoming chief executive Chris Hill says: “Hargreaves Lansdown is an innovative and entrepreneurial company which aims to set the standards for our competitors to follow. Our use of technology has always helped set us apart and given us an advantage over our competitors. This proposed expansion is simply an extension of what we have always done.”
Planning to open in the middle of this year, the hub is expected to house around 50 people to working on specific development projects.
Warsaw was selected as a location for its “vibrant business culture, flourishing technology sector, excellent communications infrastructure and the large numbers of English speaking IT professionals.”
